Tea Party

It has been a mystery to me why middle class Tea Party members were bitterly opposing tax increases on the super rich until I read that the multi- billionaire Koch Brothers bankroll the Tea Party.

Yes; the Koch brothers are pulling the Tea Party puppet strings. Also, middle and poor Americans often vote against their own personal economic interests; perhaps they do so in the increasingly unlikely belief that they will join the affluent class.

I have been reading Joseph Stiglitz' "The Price of Inequality" in which the author traces the interrelationships between political power and economic institutions, and describes the costs and risks of America's increasing inequalities in wealth and income. The book is insightful, I believe, and important reading for post-election reading.
